Story Explanation (English)

Taking a brief step back from the bloodshed, this episode dives into the politics and business of the Hunter world. Jinwoo and Jinho resume their private project to clear 19 C-Rank dungeons.

One day, they arrive at a gate they had legally booked, only to find it already occupied by the White Tiger Guild—one of the top, most influential guilds in all of Korea. The guild’s chief recruiter, Ahn Sangmin, has been investigating who is speed-running C-Rank dungeons at such an impossible pace. He initially suspects Jinho is using expensive gear, but quickly realizes the true mastermind is the supposedly E-Rank Jinwoo. Sangmin concludes that Jinwoo must be a rare “Re-awakened” hunter (someone whose powers have awakened a second time, jumping them to S or A-Rank).

Sangmin invites Jinwoo to a cafe and aggressively attempts to poach him. He offers Jinwoo an astronomical signing bonus of 30 Billion Won to join the White Tiger Guild! However, Jinwoo is much smarter and more confident now. Knowing he doesn’t want to tie his rapidly growing powers to any guild, he flat-out rejects the offer. Instead, Jinwoo flips the negotiation and sells the rights to three C-Rank gates back to the guild for double the market price! Sangmin is left thoroughly impressed by the young hunter’s shrewd business acumen.

Later that evening, Jinwoo receives a highly unusual, game-changing notification from the System. It’s not a normal daily quest. The glowing screen reads: [Job Change Quest has arrived]

Jinwoo immediately understands the gravity of this moment. In role-playing video games, when a character reaches a high enough level, they are given a “Class” or “Job” (like Knight, Mage, Assassin, etc.), which permanently defines their abilities.

Knowing this test will be infinitely harder than anything he has faced before, Jinwoo stocks up heavily on healing potions, weapons, and bandages from the System shop. Standing alone in his room, he uses the special quest key. A swirling portal opens, and Jinwoo steps into a dark, foreboding dimension to face his ultimate test.
