Detailed Synopsis & Review

In the distant future, a new immortal and genderless life form called Gems populate the Earth. The 28 Gems must fight against the Lunarians, who attack them regularly to abduct them and turn them into decorations. The story follows Phosphophyllite (Phos), the youngest and most fragile Gem, who desperately wants to help the war effort but is too weak to fight.

Studio Orange created an absolute visual masterpiece with this series. It proved that CGI in anime can not only be good but breathtakingly gorgeous. The character development of Phos is one of the most drastic and well-written arcs in modern anime.
